Vent your heart out

"A person’s health is to be taken extra care of."

What does the word, "health" exactly mean? It can be interpreted both physically as well as mentally. People are aware of how to take care of themselves physically and not many are sure about how to care for their mental health. Eating nutritious foods, exercising, avoiding junk and so on would help in building a good body. But, what about your mental health?

Normally, people tend to feel low, depressed, lonely, and empty at times. Not all have the strength to battle against despair and get back on track. I’ve seen my dearest ones suffering from a lot of issues running through their brains. Some get hold of the take it easy policy while others take a long time to recover. As a fellow to them, what can we do to make them feel loved, again?

Talking! Checking on them constantly and talking by giving them trust to share their worries is a magical thing one could do! Venting out the fears, worries, and sadness one has in their heart is the perfect cure to their affected mental state. Thinking of the fact that you have someone who has your back without judging you is a thought that makes you believe that there is still love in the world. Isn't it?

Recently I met up with this team called, YungUnitee for a Content Writing internship where I got a thrilling opportunity to help them host an event in this Mental Health Awareness month of May. We all together came up with an open mic event, “Mental Health Awareness Live Session.”

Here, I found lots of people come forward as an audience trusting in us and even talked about their deepest fears and traumatic experiences. It was totally a game-changer in my life, an interactive session wherein we talked our hearts out without being judged an felt safe. At the end of the day, this session left me with mixed emotions and made me realize that everyone we meet is going through a struggle even when they don’t show off about it.

Be sure to be kind and spread love.💛
